I'm feeling a little less hopeless today. We're still in debt, but everything important is being taken care of. We have a roof over our head, and food to eat. Things are being worked on with creditiors, and it's very tight financially. But, it could be worse. There are many people who have it worse than I do. There are peole living in shelters, or on the streets with nothing. Yes, I do feel sorry for myself sometimes, but trust me, I know it could be worse. I am thankful that my kids don't know we're poor. They will never starve. We might not be able to buy them everything they want, but they have everything they need. Which, for today, is enough.

See, blogging helps huh? Reading all those comments on your post at the basement probably really helped a lot because you know you're not alone. We signed up with a debt management company about a year ago and it helped a lot. They are a good company and really worked with us, I can give you their info if you want. We are still in debt, but it feels manageable and the creditors aren't calling us 300x a day. Plus, it's so nice to see those balances going down for once.
I am glad you are feeling a little bit better! Have you thought about watching a couple kids for afterschool care or something to bring in extra money? I know we pay our daycare lady $280 a month and she only has the boys from 2:45-5, 5 days a week. I think that's a pretty standard rate too.
I've looked into it, but right now, my husbands work schedule is screwy, and I work 2 days in the middle of the week to make grocery money. So, at this point, watching other people's kids is not an option. Maybe if his schedule switches, and I know in advance when he will be working. I usually don't know what days I would able to work unti l a week in advance, and they always change. I'm lucky that my work is flexible, and can put me on the schedule on short notice. They wouldn't do this for anyone, I've just been there 6 years, and was full time until my 2nd son was born
